National Museum of Afghanistan Ideas Competition Winners Announced

The Ministry of Information and Culture in Kabul, Afghanistan announced the winners of the international architectural ideas competition for the National Museum of Afghanistan. After reviewing 72 proposals submitted from 31 countries, the jury selected AV62 Arquitectos of Spain as the first prize winner - learn more about AV62's proposal here. The second and third place winners, as well as three projects that earned honorable mention, can also be seen here. All were honored at the official awards ceremony on September 17, 2012, hosted by Minister Dr. Raheen and Ambassador Llorens at the existing museum facility in Darul Aman, Kabul.
