Anna Sattlegger
Summer Analyst, LondonAnna supports client projects and research at AEA as a Summer Analyst, contributing to benchmarking analysis and the other client deliverables, as well as to research for the Cultural Infrastructure Index. She enjoys taking complex information and distilling it into clear insights that support decision-making.
Before joining AEA, Anna qualified as a solicitor in London, where she spent over three years working on complex, cross-border disputes before specialising in art and cultural property law, advising museums, culture ministries, collectors, and art advisory firms on transactions and disputes involving high-value artworks. Providing legal assistance to a major art institution on acquisitions and commissions for its permanent collection sparked Anna’s interest in the broader strategic, financial, and operational questions facing cultural institutions. She is currently completing an MA in Contemporary Art at the Sotheby's Institute of Art, and has previously worked at Frieze and Christie's.
Anna is interested in how cultural institutions can act as civic anchors, balancing financial sustainability with public value, and navigating the evolving relationship between public funding and private patronage.
