Emily Harney
Senior Associate, New YorkEmily has over 15 years of leadership experience in the non-profit arts sector, with broad expertise across areas of strategy, planning and assessment; facilitation for cross-functional and interdisciplinary collaboration among diverse stakeholders; partnership and community engagement; organizational design and learning; and internal and external communications.
Prior to AEA, Emily served as the Senior Vice President, Programming & Strategy at BRIC, in Brooklyn, NY, whose work spans contemporary visual and performing arts, media and civic action. At BRIC she led diverse, interdisciplinary teams to create and deliver programs and initiatives that expanded opportunity and deepened service to artists and local communities. Prior to that, she was Director of Community Engagement and Marketing at MAPP International Productions, a unique creative producing company that supported artists in the development, production and touring of innovative new work.
Emily holds an M.A. in Arts Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University and a B.A. in Performance Studies from Bryn Mawr College and was a dancer in her early life.
