Luna BuGhanem

Luna brings an interdisciplinary background in architecture, art, and research to her work at AEA Consulting. Her perspective is informed by knowledge of the built environment and artistic practices, with a dedication to developing contextually sensitive strategic frameworks. She is particularly interested in approaches that integrate creative thinking from concept through implementation, and aligning physical planning with institutional missions and stakeholder priorities.

At AEA, Luna has contributed to end-to-end strategic planning for museums, creative districts, and art schools and public policy projects for ministries and councils across Europe and the Middle East. Her work spans research and benchmarking analysis, conceptual development, cultural programming, and facilities planning at multiple scales.

Luna’s background includes experience in architecture design studios as well as academic research and teaching. She was a fellow at the Nieuwe Instituut, the MIT Teaching and Learning Lab, and the RISD Research and Architecture Departments, where she developed and taught courses on analyzing and visualizing complex urban systems. Luna holds an SMArchS from MIT (summa cum laude), where she received the Schlossman Research Prize, and a BArch and BFA from RISD. She is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
