Between September 2024 and October 2025 AEA Consulting worked with Arts Council Ireland through a three-phase research process and report to review its current art form and arts practice definitions, with a focus on equality, diversity and inclusion, and reducing barriers for under-represented artists and communities.

The research report is a learnings document that will inform the Arts Council's future thinking as they develop their new strategy. The findings support the Arts Council’s goal of evolution, rather than replacement, and to continuously improve how they work by responding to the needs of artists, arts organisations, and the sector as a whole.
