AEA Among Shortlisted Teams for Post-Sandy Rebuilding Competition

Shaun Donovan, U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and Chair of the Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force, announced that the 10 multidisciplinary teams that will be participating in Rebuild by Design, a multi-stage regional design competition that will develop innovative projects to protect and enhance Sandy-affected communities. AEA Consulting is excited to be a member of the team led by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group), working alongside One Architecture, Starr Whitehouse, James Lima Planning & Development, Green Shield Ecology, Buro Happold, and Project Projects.
The teams will now embark on Stage II of the competition, an intense and collaborative research process led by New York University’s Institute for Public Knowledge.
