AEA Consulting is pleased to announce the appointment of Mario Washington-Ihieme as Research Analyst in our London office, effective 1 April 2021.

Mario’s background spans public engagement strategies, cultural policy, social and cultural psychology, and urbanism. She joins AEA from the Centre for London, one of the UK’s leading think tanks, wherein her capacity as Research Officer she designed and delivered major research studies, led public engagement strategies and co-authored reports focusing on London’s housing crisis, the built environment and the local workforce. Mario has also held research positions at Partnership for Young London and the London School of Economics. She holds an MSc in Social and Cultural Psychology from the London School of Economics, where she applied social-psychological theory to explore the impact of young people’s resilience on the porosity of borders in and around local communities in North and South London. Mario obtained her BSc in Psychology with Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Nottingham, and is also a talented freelance documentary photographer (you can view her work here).
