The Global Cultural Districts Network, an initiative of the New Cities Foundation, Dallas Arts District, and AEA Consulting, was launched today at the 2013 New Cities Summit in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The GCDN will work to foster co-operation and knowledge-sharing among those responsible for conceiving, funding, building, and operating cultural districts and help to ensure that these projects are vital assets for their communities and contributing to the vitality of 21st century cities. AEA Director Adrian Ellis will serve as Director of the new organization, and AEA Consulting will be actively involved in providing support and resources to the GCDN.
