        Founded in 1955, Houston Grand Opera is one of the nation’s most distinguished opera companies. The company has posted surpluses in recent years and has found success in its programming and educational work. The company is eager to take advantage of its stability to consider and articulate its long-term goals for its artistic agenda and relationship with its community. The Opera retained AEA Consulting in January for a strategic planning process that will conclude in the fall and that includes extensive stakeholder consultation, research on relevant field trends, and in-depth work with Board and staff to articulate strategic priorities.
