AEA welcomes new staff

April 11, 2018

AEA is delighted to announce the appointment of three new outstanding individuals who have joined our growing teams in both New York and London:

Kara Bledsoe has been appointed as a Research Analyst in our New York office. Kara is a graduate of Swarthmore College, where she majored in a hybrid of cultural studies, African American history, film and media studies, and sociology; and the Pratt Institute, where she is completing a Master's degree in Library and Information Science specializing in digital archives and cultural heritage preservation. Before joining AEA, Kara conducted research and designed databases for JSTOR, a digital platform for scholarly publications. She is interested in the intersections of technology, culture, diversity, and inclusion.

Harry Fisher-Jones has joined us as a Consultant in our London office. Harry’s background spans the visual arts, music and publishing, and he has worked with not-for-profit arts organizations, creative industries firms, and global business behemoths in the UK, US and Hong Kong. Before joining AEA, Harry worked as a strategy consultant at Cognosis in London, focusing on business planning, strategic planning, research and data analysis, and project management for Fortune 500 companies including Diageo and AB InBev. Harry holds an M.A. and B.A. (first class honors) in Religion and Philosophy, from the University of Edinburgh, where he specialized in Buddhist and Islamic art history.

Jim Sector has been appointed as a Consultant in our New York office. Jim joins AEA from The Cleveland Orchestra, where he has worked since 2013 and served most recently as Director of Sales and Marketing. Prior to his work in Cleveland, Jim served as Director of Marketing and Communications at The Albany Symphony, and he has also served as an independent consultant to regional symphony orchestras, advising them on successful strategies to increase subscription revenues and capacity utilization. A native of Albany, Jim has a Bachelor of Music, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University and he plays jazz saxophone.

We are thrilled to welcome these talented young individuals to the AEA family!
